Three-phase insulated transformer is used to isolate mains electricity or step up or increase mains voltage. It is used in panel and machine manufacturers and other industrial sectors.
Why doesn’t the isolation transformer crash?
Due to the galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary windings, there is no reference to the ground, so it does not crash. For this reason, it is also used for safety purposes, especially in places with intense user contact, such as ATM machines and CNC machines. In places where grounding problems occur, three-phase isolated transformers, also known as three-phase isolation transformers, are produced with shields and are used to reduce or reset the neutral-earth voltage.
3-phase transformers are produced with phase-to-phase or phase-neutral voltages in the range of 1V – 1,000 V and powers of 50VA – 500 KVA. It can be wrapped with a screen upon request.
Depending on the place of use, triangle/star, triangle/triangle, star/star, star/triangle, star/zigzag, zigzag/star connection types are preferred.
Three-phase isolated transformers are wrapped with H class enamel and glass fiber copper wires as standard. Optionally, production can be done using aluminum or CCA winding wires. Because aluminum and CCA wires create serious cost advantages. After the winding process, it is varnished in a vacuum boiler and dried in an oven at 180 C. Three-phase isolated transformers are completely dry type and do not contain transformer oil.
Important notice; If 3-phase transformers are used in 1-phase systems, serious damage may occur.
Three Phase Isolated Transformer Connection types
Depending on the place of use, triangle/star, triangle/triangle, star/star, star/triangle, star/zigzag, zigzag/star connection types are preferred.
➤ Delta/Star Connection: Expressed as Dyn11, it is generally used to obtain neutral in the installation.
➤ Delta/Delta Connection: There is no neutral connection at the input and output.
➤ Star/Star Connection: There is neutral at the transformer input and output connections.
➤ Zigzag connection: It is obtained by connecting both triangle and star connections within the transformer in a special way.
